In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
Viareggio Superyachts (VSY) has announced the interior designer for its 64m in-build superyacht, Project 003.
French studio, Darnet Design will undertake the work on what is the third yacht in the series, with a brief to create warm and cosy interiors to complement Espen Oino’s exterior design. The announcement comes soon after the vessel was sold by brokerage firm Thompson, Westwood & White Yachts.
Project 003 has a general arrangement that features six suites for up to 12 guests, including an owner’s cabin with panoramic views out to sea and an aft-facing skylounge, which will boast uninterrupted views out thanks to the yacht’s minimal structural design.
Franck Darnet, founder of Darnet Design said, “We face the rewarding challenge of fulfilling the owners’ vision over nearly 500 square metres of interior space and taking the outcome around the world”.
Darnet describes the interior décor as ‘warm contemporary’. Textured leather panels and honed marble will be used to create the cosy atmosphere desired by the owner. The woodwork will feature walnut and high-gloss elm, while metal inserts will be made from stainless steel and brushed nickel.
The 64m is just 22-months out from her planned delivery date. No interior renderings have been released of the yacht’s interior as yet, but the studio has already agreed a key design motif, with decorative panels and metal inserts on board drawing their inspiration from coral reefs.
