US-based Westport Shipyard has recently launched 38m superyacht Black Gold, which is the latest addition to the Westport 125 line.
The W125 38m utilizes what Westport is calling “the latest composite fiberglass yacht construction techniques” to optimize engineered structures, interior and exterior spaces, and performance.
Engineered to American Bureau of Shipping rules, Westport says the W125 represents “decades of experienced and successful naval development and execution”. Powered with twin 2,600 hp MTU diesel engines, the approximate speed estimates are in excess of 20 knots.
The new model features a raised pilothouse with ample beam for equal comfort inside and out. Accommodation is provided for up to 10 guests, and up to six crew inclusive of the captain. The superyacht features a full-width master stateroom on deck forward with his-and-her bathrooms and wardrobes. Four en-suite guest staterooms with a choice of queens or twins, are privately entered from the lower deck midship foyer, and an exercise room is able to be converted from one of the guest staterooms.
Comfort and stability are aided by both gyro and fin stabilizing systems, bow thruster, temperature & humidity HVAC systems, hydraulic systems, and two 65 KW electric generators.
