The 27.1-metre custom YXT 24 project has arrived at Lynx Yachts this week ahead of its final construction phase over the next nine months. The Dutch yard has confirmed it hopes to present the support ship at the 2018 Monaco Yacht Show.
YXT 24 is considered to be an “evolution” of the previous version built upon the same steel platform. She boasts a sporty exterior design by Diana Yacht and Bernd Weel studio, and features additional accommodation, various wellness areas and 75sqm of beach deck space for water sports at anchor.
Frank Darnet Design has handled the interior layout, giving YXT 24 a double guest cabin with a Pullman berth and en-suite bathroom, as well as two double cabins for four crewmembers. There is enough space in the main storage deck for the owner’s Land Rover Defender and a range of toys and equipment.
Powered by two Caterpillar C12.9 engines, she will be able to achieve a top speed of 13 knots and a range of 1,400nm at a cruising speed of 12 knots.
YXT 24 was purchased in May this year by an American couple. Lynx Yachts say the owners have visited the yacht and are “very happy” with progress so far.
