IGY expands network with Savannah Harbor Marina development

Island Global Yachting (IGY Marinas) has unveiled plans for a brand-new marina in the heart of Savannah, Georgia, which is scheduled for completion in Spring 2025.

Named IGY Savannah Harbor Marina and developed in partnership with Savannah Harbor Partners LLC, the destination will feature 100 berths for vessels of all sizes, including over 1,000 linear feet to accommodate deep draft superyachts.

Situated five miles from the Intracoastal Waterway and boasting unrestricted air draft and depth on the Savannah River, IGY Savannah Harbor Marina stands as an optimal stopover point for cruisers and passing superyachts.

Positioned centrally on Hutchinson Island, IGY Savannah Harbor Marina offers convenient access to the city centre across the Savannah River and is a short ferry trip from the Savannah Historic District.

The marina will offer sweeping views of the Savannah skyline and will be part of the Savannah Harbor mixed-use development, conveniently located next to the Savannah Convention Center and Westin Hotel.

The Savannah Harbor project showcases the newly finished Emma James apartments by Woodfield Development, along with a park, dining establishments, and retail outlets. A distinctive waterfront restaurant is planned for construction, while the Club at Savannah Harbor golf course and spa are conveniently nearby.

Moreover, with Savannah International Airport and local FBOs just a 25-minute drive away, daily flights to numerous premier destinations in the US and Canada are easily accessible.

Renowned for its historical significance and stunning architecture, Savannah draws tourists globally, boasting a longstanding tradition of maritime tourism and commerce, including the vibrant Port of Savannah.

Positioned as a sought-after tourism hub in the southeastern United States, Savannah offers easy access to vibrant neighbouring cities such as Charleston, South Carolina, and Jacksonville, Florida.

Myrick Marine Contracting Corporation will be appointed as the general contractor. MEECO-Sullivan Wahoo docks will be installed in the small boat inner basin, while Marinetek floating concrete pontoons will be used for the superyacht dock located along the river.

IGY Savannah Harbor Marina will include state of the art amenities including fuelling, shore power, deep water berthing, parking, and marina concierge services.
