Top 10 largest yachts delivered in 2023

Each year we see the launch and delivery of numerous luxury superyachts. From cutting-edge hybrid vessels to superyachts owned by globally recognised figures, this compilation features all the essential details of the largest yachts delivered in 2023.

10. Amoa – 70m – Nobiskrug

Kicking off our list is the 70-metre (229-foot) superyacht Amoa. Built by Nobiskrug in its Rendsburg shipyard in Germany, this luxury motor yacht was delivered to her owner in September 2023. Both the exterior and the interior of the yacht was designed by British designer Winch Design.

With a spacious sundeck, a luxurious beach club, and an on-deck Jacuzzi, Amoa has plenty of amenities for a comfortable cruise. It reaches top speeds of 14 knots and has a volume of 1,891GT.

9. Infinite Jest – 75m – Turquoise Yachts

Delivered to her owner in July 2023, the 75m (246ft) Infinite Jest was built by Turquoise Yachts in Istanbul, Turkey. Her exterior was penned by Adrea Vallicelli, whilst her interior was designed by Netherlands-based designer Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.

Accommodating up to 14 guests across seven comfortable cabins, the full-beam master cabin even features a study for its owner (or guests) to enjoy. With twin Caterpillar engines, Infinite Jest can reach a top speed of up to 18 knots whilst maintaining ultimate comfort at sea thanks to its Naiad stabilisers.

8. Genesis – 80.07m – Heesen Yachts

Coming in at number eight is the fastest superyacht on our list, Genesis. Built by Heesen Yachts, this 80.7m (264ft) vessel is powered by four MTU engines and reaches speeds of up 29 knots, whilst also ensuring a smooth and comfortable cruise.

Delivered to her owner in August 2023, the exterior of this luxury yacht was designed by Winch Design, and Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design was responsible for her interior. A glass-bottomed swimming pool, an outdoor cinema, and a convenient wet bar are just some of the impressive features on this yacht, along with ample storage for water toys.

7. Obsidian – 84m – Feadship

The most environmentally friendly yacht that was delivered in 2023 is the 84m (275ft) Obsidian. Built by Dutch builder Feadship, this hybrid vessel has an aluminium superstructure and biofuel generators. Its futuristic and impressive exterior was designed by RWD in collaboration with MONK Design.

Accommodating up to 14 guests in seven cabins, it also boasts an aqua lounge offering unique underwater views. It also has a formal dining area and an observation lounge with beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows. This reduced-emission superyacht also uses Starlink internet.

6. Norn – 90m – Lürssen

Built by leading yacht builder Lürssen, Norn was delivered to her owner in May 2023. The 90m (295ft) superyacht features a geometric exterior, angular corners, and a striking design. Lürssen itself was responsible for the vessel’s naval architecture, whilst the exterior was completed by Espen Oeino International and the interior was styled by Dölker & Voges Design of Hamburg.

Norn also has a lifetable pool floor, outdoor cinema, and even a beauty salon and gym—plenty of amenities for the owner or guests to enjoy.

5. SEVEN SEAS – 109m – Oceanco

Coming in at number five is Seven Seas, a 109m (357ft) superyacht built by Oceanco. Delivered in July 2023, this vessel is powered by two MTU engines and can reach a top speed of 20 knots. Both the interior and exterior were designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, with Lateral Naval Architects responsible for the naval architecture.

She can accommodate 14 guests across seven cabins with space for 35 crew members, and with a Jacuzzi, underwater lights, sauna, and an elevator for convenience, it’s no surprise that the owner is none other than Steven Spielberg.

4. Renaissance – 112m – Freire

Delivered to her owner in July 2023, Renaissance is fully equipped with all the amenities needed for a lavish, relaxing cruise. Built by Freire and spanning a whopping 112m (367ft), this superyacht features a spa deck, wellness area, treatment and steam rooms, beauty rooms, and even a fitness centre and plunge pool.

She accommodates up to 36 guests across 19 modern cabins designed by Bannenberg & Rowell (who also designed the exterior of the vessel). Those on board can enjoy the incredible spa amenities and an impressive collection of water toys. With DJ zones, a swimming pool on the main deck, and sushi and BBQ bars, this yacht is definitely luxurious.

3. Liva O – 118m – Abeking & Rasmussen

Built by German yard Abeking & Rasmussen, Liva O was delivered to her owner in April 2023. The 118m (390ft) superyacht has a beam of 16.8m and a volume of 5,054GT, with both exterior and interior design completed by Joseph Dirand Architecture.

Liva O boasts a spacious deck for up to 12 guests (and 33 crew members) to enjoy, and features a helipad, beauty salon, and deck Jacuzzi.

2. Koru – 127m – Oceanco

Despite not claiming the title of the largest vessel delivered in 2023, Koru has secured its place as both the largest and tallest pure sailing yacht in the world. Owned and commissioned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, and built by Oceanco, Koru was delivered in April 2023. With exterior designs by Dykstra Naval Architects and interior design by Mlinaric Henry and Zervudachi Interior Design and Decoration, Koru is said to encompass a classic, timeless, and neutral interior.

Three Jacuzzis and a large swimming pool can be found on board for 18 guests and 40 crew members to enjoy, along with a range of other luxurious amenities. Koru is also expected to have a support vessel although this has not been confirmed.

1. Opera – 146m – Lürssen

The largest superyacht on this year’s list, the 146m (479ft) Opera was built by Lürssen at its Bremen shipyard and was delivered to its owner on 5th March 2023 in Portsmouth, UK. As the sixth largest Lürssen yacht to be built, it also sits at number ten on the list of the world’s largest superyachts.

With an extremely large volume of 12,518GT, this luxurious yacht can accommodate up to 36 guests and up to 50 crew members. Opera’s naval architecture was completed by Lürssen, whilst the exterior and interior was designed by English designer Terence Disdale Design. Although details of her amenities are limited, it is rumoured that Opera features its own movie theatre, as well as a beauty salon, large swimming pool, and two helipads.
