Yacht crew houses and accommodation in Antibes

Much like other popular yachting destinations around the world, finding dedicated crew accommodation in Antibes requires a certain degree of forward planning. As a 'first-tier' hiring port, you’ll need to act quickly to secure housing ahead of your arrival, or you could well miss out on the best places to stay!

Port Vauban, Antibes

Thankfully there are a number of accommodation options available to yacht crew in Antibes, most of which are based around Port Vauban. Below, we break them down and provide local housing recommendations, helping you to work out which is best suited to your needs.

Securing crew housing and accommodation in Antibes

The yachting season kicks off in the South of France in early April each year, so it's vital for crew hopefuls to get sorted well in advance to avoid the last-minute scramble for beds. In fact, it’s often better to schedule your arrival a little before in the hope of joining a yacht before it gets underway.

It’s worth noting that prices for crew accommodation can be quite high in Antibes when compared to other hiring ports around the world, due to its status as a great hiring port for first-time yachties. The minimum you can expect to pay for even the most basic lodging is €20 to €25 per night.

Dedicated crew accommodation can be found in a range of places, including online (on websites such as Yachtingpages.com), on the ground in local newspapers, and on notice boards in the town’s crew hangouts. If securing a place proves challenging, buddying up with other jobseekers creates the potential to book larger rooms and apartments that may have been unaffordable previously.

Antibes also has a number of public hotels and hostels across the city for those who aren’t successful in securing crew housing, but these can often prove more costly and don’t offer the same social opportunities for solo jobseekers.
