Whether it’s the electronics, the decking, the furniture or the layout of the yacht, they all have one thing in common; each and every one of them has been designed with a superyacht party in mind. One of the main reasons for even owning a superyacht is the partying on board, but what are the best and most popular locations in which to hold an event?
The Balearic Islands includes Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza, both notoriously popular as superyacht event destinations. Yachting Pages spoke to a leading event management company based in Palma de Mallorca, Senses Events, to find out more about the places superyachts go to both hold their own parties on board and enjoy the attractions these islands can offer.
Events in the Balearic Islands

Whether you want an intimate experience in a secluded hideaway, a glamorous party to celebrate a special occasion in the bay of Palma overlooking the cathedral, or to dance the night away to a world class DJ in Ibiza's capital, these islands in the heart of the Mediterranean have it all.

Party marinas in the Balearics

The best located ports in Mallorca include Port Moll Vell, Real Club Náutico, Port Adriano and Port de Soller. They all boast fantastic views; Port Adriano set amongst a modern and architecturally intriguing marina, with Port de Soller offering a complete contrast, based in a charming historic harbour.
There is a wealth of choice of marinas in Palma, and some can even cater for superyachts well over 100m. The spot for the best attractions and amenities is Palma itself as you’ve got everything going on around you; it’s a great place to stop for supplies and you can find shops to provide everything you may need.
Ibiza town's twin upmarket marinas, Botafoch and Ibiza Nueva, are home to some of the most luxurious yachts; they are graced with the floating palaces of Ibiza's jet-set regulars, who migrate there at the start of each summer to rendezvous with the most famous nightlife in the Med.
Ibiza Magna is another famous marina located in the heart of Ibiza – well known as one for the young, rich and trendy. It is is located minutes away from the island’s casino strip and infamous nightclub, Pacha – renowned for its extravagant prices and all-night parties.
The hotspot in the Mediterranean
Perhaps the most luxurious marina on the island is however Marina Ibiza. During the daytime it offers the dynamic life of a luxury port, and in the afternoon, a chill out environment to enjoy the most special sunsets of the island. At night, the coolest atmosphere and best parties; Marina Ibiza is, by definition, the hot spot port in the Mediterranean.
