Yacht crew courses in USALocations for practical’s include Orlando, Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Clearwater. All courses are USCG approved and MCA compliant for any yacht registry.
STCW two-day basic training (blended)STCW covers the standards of training and certification for all seafarers including standards for licensed deck and engineering officers, special training, emergency and security training. Seven Seas’ 2-day blended STCW basic training is completed with a combination of online training and attending 2 days of practicals.
The STCW basic safety training course teaches students critical safety information to prepare them for work on a yacht. Students will learn sea survival techniques, firefighting skills, first aid, and how to safely conduct oneself on board a yacht.
Two-day deckhand workshop (Orlando and Fort Lauderdale)The workshop is a great introduction to working as a deckhand on a yacht. It is designed for those interested in seeking a position on yachts as a deckhand, but are unsure on how to best prepare, or how to tell if the job is the right fit. The course will teach entry level skills with a highly qualified team of experts.

Yacht deckhand courseThis course is designed for those seeking a career on yachts as a deckhand. Students will learn all the necessary skills to work on the deck of a yacht as well as how to support the captain on the wheelhouse. With Seven Seas’ highly qualified team of experts and state-of-the-art equipment, you will walk away with a US Coast Guard certification, recognised by all yacht registries, UK MCA compliant and a 4-month sea time credit that can be used for your next deck qualification.
With this course Seven Seas’ highly recommend students take the STCW Basic Training (two-day blended course) to complete your full qualification for a deckhand position. You will receive a 10% discount on the blended course if booked together with the deckhand course.

The work is demanding and with our 3-day superyacht crew Interior course taught by Industry professionals, you will be prepared with the basics of working on a yacht, bartending and food service.
