Accommodation

Robbie Bobby is able to accommodate up to 12 guests across five luxurious cabins, including a master suite, a pair of VIP staterooms and two double cabins. Crew quarters are spacious enough for a staff of six.

Performance and cruising areas

Robbie Bobby is equipped with twin Caterpillar C-18 ACERT engines for a top speed of 13.5 knots. At 11 knots she will enjoy a large 3,200 nautical mile cruising range, which is perfect for voyages around the western Mediterranean. Main charter locations for Robbie Bobby include:

Background

Robbie Bobby is a luxurious vessel, originally delivered in May 2013 by Dutch shipyard Lynx Yachts. She was first named Heliad II and was the yard’s debut custom-built superyacht but has since been rechristened and rejuvenated thanks to a comprehensive refit from Nautech Group almost exactly five years later – in May 2018.

Robbie Bobby boasts a traditional style from Diana Yacht Design, with a canoe stern and striking navy, red and white colouring, but inside offers charter guests magnificent, contemporary accommodation from Weber Yacht Design. With a wider-than-average eight-metre beam, the interior spaces are impressive and guests may find it hard to believe Robbie Bobby isn’t a much longer vessel.

Crew on board Robbie Bobby

Robbie Bobby is expertly captained by seasoned seafarer Manuel Battaglia, who spoke to brokerage agents Fraser about the superyacht in April during one of the company’s beach clean operations. “It really is suited to everyone,” he told the agents. “The exterior design is classic, but the interior promises much more. The new sundeck really creates space. “We are replacing the water toys with electric ones, to reduce consumption and pollution. We will also change the tender and the engine for the same reason, to be more efficient and reduce pollution. “Next winter we plan to do the same with the generators. We always try to reduce the use of plastic on board, the crew have their own water bottles they reuse. It’s terrible, nowadays misuse of plastic is ridiculous.”

Experienced superyacht chef

The superyacht’s resident chef is the supremely talented Daniele Tortora, a passionate culinary expert who seeks inspiration from the simple things – such as the “fragrance of homemade bread, or the perfume of a fresh strawberry”. Tortora, who has worked in the team of Heinz Beck – a three-Michelin-starred master at Rome’s La Pergola – attended the Gambero Rosso school and was awarded a staggering score of 91/100. He also specialises in gluten-free cooking and is a dedicated bartender with experience in luxury hotels.
