Global Mariner policy

SYIG is part of the exclusive insurance broker Global Mariner, a new crew medical policy designed exclusively for yacht captains and crew. At a cost-effective price, captains and crew, regardless of nationality, age and gender, can be covered and the policy is underwritten by Lloyd's of London. Under the policy, crew are covered on board whilst working with the benefit of being covered while on vacation or between jobs. Primarily the plan is actioned to the yacht's P&I policy and can be set up to include worldwide or global coverage, excluding the USA and Canada. Alternatively, there is also a dental plan and sports coverage (covering scuba diving and other activities).
