100% Pure New Zealand partners with the Superyacht Cup Palma

100% Pure New Zealand is the 2015 ‘Destination Partner’ for the Superyacht Cup Palma for the first time. With the long-running regatta’s reputation for attracting superyachts with a competitive edge and desire to push the boundaries, the event is a good match for 100% Pure New Zealand, an adventure playground for yachts wishing to explore further and expand their horizons outside the traditional Mediterranean and Caribbean cruising routes.

As ‘Destination Partner’ at the Superyacht Cup 2015 the 100% Pure New Zealand team’s presence aims to further promote New Zealand as the superyacht hub of the South Pacific and increase awareness of New Zealand as a world class cruising and charter destination. A record 57 superyachts visited New Zealand during the last year, (April 2014 to March 2015) – the highest number of superyacht visits since the America’s Cup in 2000, when reportedly around 90 to 100 visited Auckland’s shore.

Like the Superyacht Cup Palma appeals to yachts with fiercely competitive leanings, so too does New Zealand’s Millennium Cup. The 2016 edition takes place at the height of the New Zealand summer and as well as attracting yachts drawn to racing in one of the world’s great natural playgrounds, it is the country’s chance to showcase its cruising grounds to the global superyacht industry.

Facilities in Auckland and Whangarei are equipped with highly regarded workforces, expert project managers and class-approved workshops.

New, flexible rules also allow visiting superyachts to charter in New Zealand waters providing an opportunity for those who wish to have a brief taste of what New Zealand has to offer as well as an opportunity for charter yachts and management companies seeking a competitive edge outside the traditional, saturated cruising regions.
