The 2019 edition of METSTRADE Show in Amsterdam, the Netherlands (which took place from 19th – 21st November) attracted a record number of exhibitors and the largest-ever number of visitors at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre.
The event recorded 26,984 visits, registered by 17,792 unique visitors and represented by 115 nationalities. As well as 1,670 exhibitors from 53 countries, represented by 7,297 stand personnel and 228 members of the press.
Steven Kane, market development manager at Yachting Pages, commented, “Congratulations to the staff at METSTRADE for organising another great show and producing a record number of both exhibitors and visitors. The success is mutual as this is shaping up to be our best ever METS, with regards to both customers and revenue.”
Covering 28,915 square-meters of exhibitor space, including the expanding pavilions for the superyacht marina and construction sectors, the METSTRADE show saw good business being conducted across the board with a range of impressive projects.
Sustainability was one of the central themes at METSTRADE and Irene Dros, maritime director of the METSTRADE show, commented “At all levels of the leisure marine sector people are clearly taking ownership of the need to make things better with respect to the environment. They are tackling the issue from the heart as well as financially, embracing transformation in our industry, not just in theory but very much in practice. There is a continuous conversation between all stakeholder that is already leading to revolutionary developments.”
