Tankoa delivers 50m hybrid superyacht Bintador

Italian yard Tankoa Yachts has delivered its 50-metre (164-foot) S501 hybrid superyacht Bintador, ahead of her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show this September.

Bintador has been delivered to her French owners following on from a private launch at the yard in May.

Previously known as S502 Elettra, the hybrid superyacht features exterior design from Francesco Paszkowski, who also styled her ‘light and modern’ interiors in collaboration with Margherita Casprini.

Bintador’s naval architecture was based on that of Vertige, though she still has numerous variances, particularly her hybrid propulsion package.

Bintador can accommodate up to 10 guests across five cabins, with the galley situated on the main deck, rather than the lower deck.

The 499 GT hybrid superyacht boasts a gym and beach club located on the lower deck, whilst the main deck comprises the master suite, galley and four guest cabins. Crew quarters also sit on the lower deck.

Her foredeck presents a touch-and-go helipad and space to store five e-bikes, as well as a tender and jet-skis kept on the deck.

The hybrid superyacht is powered by a pair of MTU 8V4000M54 engines and a two 300kW electric motors with four propulsion modes available.

Diesel-Electric Mode (DEM) enables the motor yacht to reach a top speed of 10.5 knots, whilst hybrid mode allows for a cruising range of 12 knots. When in the classical mode, Bintador can achieve a top speed of 16.5 knots, and full speed mode offers a top speed of 18 knots.
