80m Columbus Classic motor yacht Dragon rolled out

Italian yard Palumbo Superyachts has rolled out its in-build 80-metre (262-foot) Columbus Classic motor yacht Dragon at its facility in Ancona. She is set to become the largest vessel in the yard’s history upon launch, with delivery scheduled for later in 2019.

Built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, Dragon boasts exterior design from Hydro Tec and interior styling from Francesco Guida Design. Her exterior is said to have a somewhat retro exterior look, while her interiors are designed to provide a "calming" atmosphere via several high-quality finishes.

Among Dragon’s key features include a large sundeck, which boasts a six-metre pool with integrated hot tub and waterfall. The beach club has fold-down side platforms and is equipped with a sauna and hammam.

An elevator with glass sides will provide easy access between all five decks, and a pair of side-loading garages amidships allows the yacht to carry two tenders.

Accommodation on board is for up to 12 guests across four double cabins and a full-beam VIP suite with a private lounge. The crew quarters allow for up to 19 staff.

Power comes from a pair of 3,044hp MTU 16V4000 M63L engines, which allows for a top speed of 16.5 knots. At 12 knots, Dragon will have a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles courtesy of its total fuel capacity of 215,000 litres.
