Lürssen-built superyacht Kismet is believed to be a scene-stealing star in upcoming Michael Bay film, which is due for release in 2019.
The 95.2-metre (312-foot) vessel, which was listed for sale by Moran Yacht & Ship for an undisclosed amount ahead of Monaco Yacht Show 2018, was spotted off the coast of Taranto, Italy earlier this month. She is believed to have been part of a high-speed chase scene involving an acrobatic helicopter.
Kismet was launched in 2014 (as Project Global) for a repeat client. Her glitzy exterior design comes from Espen Øino, with interiors by Reymond Langton Design.
The upcoming movie is helmed by explosive director Bay, a key force behind blockbusters such as Bad Boys and Transformers, and has been penned by Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. On-screen talent includes Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds, as well as Mélanie Laurent, Dave Franco, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins and Ben Hardy. Skydance Media and Platinum Dunes are reported to be the production companies involved in 6 Underground, which is billed as thefor film and TV streaming service Netflix.
The Hollywood Reporter has reported that the film focuses on a team of six billionaires who fake their own deaths and form a crack team to fight villainous forces. It is unknown if Kismet is appearing as one of the six billionaires or as a different character – but with awards season just around the corner, it’s surely an exciting time for this young star.
