An innovative device from multi-award winning NMEA specialists, Actisense, has been recognised with a prestigious award from the National Marine Electronics Association.
The marine electronics brand has received the acclaimed award from the National Marine Electronics Association (NMEA) in recognition of their popular EMU-1 (Engine Monitoring Unit). Winning the 2015 Product of Excellence Award, the accolade was presented to Actisense at METS 2015 in November, the world’s largest marine equipment trade show.
The Actisense EMU-1, a specialised analogue to NMEA 2000 Gateway that converts data from analogue engine senders into NMEA 2000, enables NMEA 2000 display devices to monitor the engine on a vessel.
Since Actisense first introduced the product in 2013, the device has been met with critical acclaim from both customers and fellow industry professionals, and has also won several other awards, including Product of the Year at the BMEA Awards 2013.
Phil Whitehurst, CEO of Actisense commented on their most recent accolade, “We are absolutely thrilled to win this award. Since its introduction, the EMU-1 has remained a consistently popular product with our customers.
“Our dedicated team has worked hard to deliver the EMU-1 to the market, with regular software updates being available to enable even more new features to be used. We feel this is a key reason as to why the device remains so popular two years on and would like to thank all our customers for supporting the product.”
