Affinity Management Services appoints Andrew Morgan as new managing director

Isle of Man and Malta based corporate service provider Affinity Management Services has announced the promotion of Andrew Morgan to managing director, as Patricia Slavin steps away from the business to enjoy a well-deserved retirement.

Patricia’s retirement triggered a key objective for change; to carry out the necessary reorganisation deviations. These changes will allow the yacht management company to flourish as Andy leads the management team in continuing to operate the company with the same confidential and pragmatic approach that has proved successful for the past 15 years.

Founded by Patricia in 2004, Affinity Management Services initially had a strong emphasis on yachting clients following the success of the then newly formed superyacht register in the Isle of Man. Andrew joined the company in 2008, which now employs over 30 staff in two jurisdictions, handles companies across various countries and offers a variety of services in sectors such as yachting, aviation, FinTech, and property.

Andy commented, “I am delighted that following a hugely successful career in the finance sector Patricia is now able to enjoy a very well-deserved retirement. Patricia started the business from scratch, initially as the only employee of a young, dynamic and ambitious new enterprise. She should take huge credit for successfully developing a business in an extremely competitive marketplace. I personally feel extremely privileged to have been mentored by her over the past 11 years. My objective as managing director is to continue to grow the business and oversee a new strategic direction whilst honouring the core principles which have served us well over the past 15 years. I am confident that the changes will give the business every opportunity to continue to flourish in the future”. 

Patricia added, “I am hugely proud of Affinity and all that I have achieved. It has been my life’s work and I never dared to hope it would become the success it has. That success could not have been achieved without the loyal and hard-working staff who supported me throughout the years and a special thank you must go to Andy who is one of the most hard-working, principled and loyal young men I have had the pleasure to work with. I must also thank my husband Kieron and children Shane, Orla and Patrick for their enduring love and support. Last but by no means least I must thank all our long standing and loyal clients and intermediaries for their support over the years. I am delighted to hand over the business to its new owners and with Andy at the helm I know I have left it in very safe hands. All that remains for me to say is good luck for the future I’m sure it will be plain sailing for all involved.”
