Alia Yachts expands operations with new complex

Istanbul yacht builder Alia Yachts is closing in on completing its new complex, and once complete next month, the complex currently under construction in the Antalya Free Trade Zone will cover 16,000 square metres and be home to five 90-metre construction halls.

The expansion will allow for yachts up to 22 metres in height to be built nearby the existing Alia Yachts facility, which has its own three sheds and a dedicated interiors team. The new complex will triple the size of the Alia shipyard.

Gökhan Çelik, founder and president of Alia Yachts, commented, “This expansion will help us achieve three key objectives. Firstly, it will increase our production capacity and allow us to work simultaneously on more projects. Secondly, it will enable us to accommodate larger projects than our existing sheds currently allow. And last but not least, it will help grow our focus on the refit sector.”

In addition to the 32.40-metre Nozomi II, sistership to Virgen del Mar VI, Alia Yachts currently has two projects in build and a further three under final negotiations.
