Alia Yachts unveils 41.29m superyacht Rüya

Alia Yachts has unveiled its latest new build superyacht, the 41.29m full-displacement motor yacht, Rüya.

Launched on 21st July, the full composite displacement motor yacht has been built to Lloyd's Register standards, and complies with the MCA LY2. Following a build period of just over two years, Rüya is now set to undergo extensive sea trials before delivery to her new owners in September 2015.

According to Alia Yachts, Rüya has been built for experienced outdoor-loving owners. The design brief was for a spacious sub-500GT go-anywhere yacht around the 40 metre mark, created for both practical and functional use.

Gohkan Celik, president of Alia Yachts said, “We have kept a low profile to date, because building high quality custom yachts has always been our main focus, and this approach has paid off.

“Thanks to referrals from our clients, owner’s representatives and designers, buyers with custom projects know how to find us. As a result, we are now building four custom yachts ranging from 30 metres up to 80 metres, and have some very serious enquiries for yachts over 40 metres.”

Rüya is able to accommodate 10 guests across her five cabins, with two additional Pullmans. Her interior design was undertaken by Alia Yachts’ interior division, Alia Interiors, and her naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects. David McQueen of Australia-based Motor Yacht Build undertook all project management.

Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 ACERT engines, Rüya is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 14 knots, with a range of 4,116nm while cruising at 10 knots.

Sam Sorigovanni, who designed both the interior and exterior of Rüya, commented, “There is no question that the volume and beam of the yacht creates the feeling of being on a much bigger yacht, with its fully custom design unique for a vessel in this size range. The interior layout and sophisticated décor, along with the exterior design, combine to create a compact superyacht that defies its length.

“The exceptional build quality executed by Alia Yachts is equal to the best and is a credit to the skill and craftsmanship of all involved.”

Rüya will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show later this year between the 23rd and 26th September 2015.
