Amels Limited Editions 180 yacht Lili delivered

The Dutch yard Amels has delivered its latest Limited Editions 180 yacht, Lili, to her owner earlier this month, making this the fourth delivery this year for the yacht builder.

Sold in May 2016 by Imperial Yachts, who also provided owner’s representative and construction supervision services throughout the build, Lili is part of the Amels Limited Editions 180 collection. She will now go to Norway for her first charter voyage, before spending the winter season cruising near Thailand in the Indian Ocean.

Built to Lloyd’s Registry standards from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure and MCA compliant, her exterior styling is by Tim Heywood, while the interior décor was created by Laura Sessa Design working within a total volume of 707GT.

On-board accommodation on board sleeps up to 12 guests split across six staterooms, including the owner’s cabin on the bridge deck, as well as three doubles and two twins below decks while the crew quarters accommodate a team of up to 12 people.

Rose Damen, commercial director at Amels, commented, "Even though she shares the pedigree of the Amels’ high value quality and finish, Lili is very different to any other Amels 180 we have delivered to date.”

Examples of customisation include a multitude of folding balconies, a private aft deck with direct access from the owner’s suite, and a sundeck that was extended by three metres to provide room for a four-metre counter-current swimming pool.

Lili’s power comes from twin 1,308hp MTU 16V 2000 M70 diesel engines for a top speed of 15.5 knots. At 13 knots, she boasts a maximum cruising range of 4,500 nautical miles.

Other projects currently under development at the Dutch yard include the first Amels Limited Editions 188 yacht and the third Amels Limited Editions 242 yacht, both of which are due to hit the water next year.
