Dutch yard Amels has sold a new-build 62-metre (203-foot) Amels 206 from its Limited Editions range.
The yacht will be delivered around the start of 2020 to the owner who is from the Asia-Pacific region and plans to use the yacht to cruise the world.
Part of the yard’s Limited Editions range, the Tim Heywood-designed 206 is based on the proven platform of the Limited Editions 199. Key features include an elongated aft deck and 35m2 superyacht beach club.
The owner has worked with Heywood and the in-house design team to create a personalised colour scheme, with a light grey hull and white superstructure.
The 1,131GT interior by Laura Sessa, designed in collaboration with Amels’ in-house designers, includes accommodation for 12 guests consisting of two VIP suites on the bridge deck and a main-deck owner’s cabin complete with port and starboard folding balconies.
There will also be space enough to store two tenders measuring up to eight metres (26 feet) long.
Speaking about the project, Rose Damen, Amels and Damen managing director, commented, “The Amels 206 is a proven performer and a real head-turner. She is a beautiful yacht with striking curves. We’re proud to be completing this yacht for our client and can’t wait to see her on her maiden voyage next year.”
