Amels sells in-build 62m Amels 206

Dutch yard Amels has sold a new-build 62-metre (203-foot) Amels 206 from its Limited Editions range.

The yacht will be delivered around the start of 2020 to the owner who is from the Asia-Pacific region and plans to use the yacht to cruise the world.

Part of the yard’s Limited Editions range, the Tim Heywood-designed 206 is based on the proven platform of the Limited Editions 199. Key features include an elongated aft deck and 35m² superyacht beach club.

The owner has worked with Heywood and the in-house design team to create a personalised colour scheme, with a light grey hull and white superstructure.

The 1,131GT interior by Laura Sessa, designed in collaboration with Amels’ in-house designers, includes accommodation for 12 guests consisting of two VIP suites on the bridge deck and a main-deck owner’s cabin complete with port and starboard folding balconies.

There will also be space enough to store two tenders measuring up to eight metres (26 feet) long.
