Amico&Co superyacht refit shipyard in Genoa has received Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status from the Italian Central Customs Agency – the first shipyard in Italy to achieve the certification.
AEO status is an internationally recognised quality mark, indicating that a company has a safe and trustworthy role in the international supply chain, and that its customs controls and procedures are efficient and compliant, assuring the security of data and goods.
According to Amico&Co, its shipyard has been classified as an AEOF or Authorised Economic Operator – Full. This includes both AEOC and AEOS certification.
AEOC status is issued to those businesses that fulfil criteria for good tax and customs-compliance history, record-keeping standards, financial solvency and professional qualifications in the activity that they are involved in, while AEOS status regards businesses that have implemented appropriate safety and security measures.
