Antibes Yachting Celebration announced for 24th to 25th April 2015

Following the last-minute cancellation of the Antibes Yacht Show by the AYS organisers, the ASAP (Association to Support Port Vauban Evolution) has brought together more than 30 partners and 75% of the budget required for a new event called “Antibes Celebrates Yachting” which will take place on 24^th and 25^th April 2015 on Port Vauban, Bastion St Jaume and IYCA (Billionaires Quay).

Antibes Celebrates Yachting (ACY) is an event concept that combines professionalism and conviviality, an option quite suited to the life on Port Vauban and the best potentially feasible alternative in the short time frame possible, considering the lack of initial funding and structure to support such an organisation.

Antibes Celebrates Yachting, much like the Antibes Yacht Show, is aimed at opening the yachting season in the Mediterranean.

There will be speed networking where professionals can exchange ideas and highlight their expertise with a respective B2B mind.

Brokerage, charter, networking, employment forum, seminars and many other activities will be part of the programme of these two days, representing the different companies and professions in the yachting industry.

The support of the international professional association MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) will allow professionals to exhibit their yachts on the dock of the IYCA as well as in front of the Bastion Saint Jaume.

Although aimed to the professional, ACY 2015 will be open to the public and the entrance will be free. According to the ACY organisers, “This event illustrates the new dynamism of the port and reflects the impressive solidarity and exceptional responsiveness of the yachting industry in Antibes.”

Further information will be provided during a press conference in Tuesday 17^th March, which will be held at 2:30pm at the harbourmaster of Port Vauban in Antibes.
