Astondoa launches fourth 80 GLX yacht

Spanish yard Astondoa has announced the launch of the fourth hull in its 80 GLX superyacht series, a 24m built-to-order vessel.

The yacht was recently shipped from Spain over to Miami, Florida, ready to be delivered to its new owner. A video shows the new model joined by two smaller Astondoa vessels, the 44 Fly and 655 Coupe. Astondoa is celebrating its centenary in 2016, and as part of the celebrations, all three yachts are due to be unveiled at this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) this November.

Standout features on board the 80 GLX include a flared flybridge which has a full-beam sundeck back, a shaded foredeck seating area, and an extended bathing platform which can be used to store a Jet Ski on board.

Her interior design was completed by Cristiano Gatto, and features contemporary styling, with leather sofas in the saloon and light oak wood panelling. Accommodation on board features four en-suite cabins, allowing for a total of eight guests on board.

The 80 GLX is powered by two 1,550hp MAN drivetrain engines, with a top speed of 28 knots. She also has a maximum range of 400nm, and fuel capacity of 5,800l.
