An Australian Instagram influencer has died aboard a billionaire’s yacht while working in Greece.
20-year-old Sinead McNamara was found in a critical condition on the vessel on Thursday 30th August, and later died while being airlifted to hospital.
Greek authorities have launched an investigation into her final hours aboard the Mayan Queen IV, which was docked on the island of Kefalonia.
An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
According to reports in Greece, the vessel has been ordered to remain in the port of Argostoli while detectives interview crewmembers and forensic tests are carried out.
McNamara had been working aboard the 92-metre (302-foot) superyacht, owned by Mexican billionaire Alberto Bailleres, for four months. She had been working on the vessel as it sailed around Europe over the summer, however the exact nature of her work on board is unclear.
All members of the Bailleres family had left the trip a few days prior to the incident.
Her death has prompted an outpouring of grief from friends, family and fans, who have expressed their sadness under her final Instagram post, which was published a few days earlier.
