Finnish shipyard Baltic Yachts has launched its 26-metre (85-foot) Baltic 85 Custom sailing yacht.
The sloop-rigged composite yacht went under construction in summer 2017 at Baltic Yachts’ headquarters in Jakobstad, Finland. She has been built from an E-Glass outer skin, Divinycell foam core and pre-preg carbon inner skin.
Baltic 85 Custom’s naval architecture and exterior lines comes from Dixon Yacht Design, while Mark Whiteley Design is responsible for her interior décor. Nigel Ingram of MCM provided project management services.
A telescopic lifting keel has been fitted at the owner’s request – this feature can reduce the draft from 4.3 metres to 2.95 metres when required.
Accommodation is for up to four guests split between an owner’s cabin and a guest cabin. The crew quarters can house up to two members of staff.
The yard confirmed the yacht has a conventional shaft-drive auxiliary propulsion system.
Other sailing superyacht projects currently in works at the yard include the 42.38-metre Baltic 142 Custom and the 34.14-metre Baltic 112 Custom, both of which are due to be delivered in 2019.
