Baltic Yachts prepares to launch 43m Canova

Finnish yard Baltic Yachts is preparing for the upcoming launch of its 43-metre (141-foot) Baltic 142 Canova.

The yard has completed the final assembly of the yacht’s keel and Dynamic Stability System (DSS) which, at the press of a button, deploys a 9-metre long athwartships foil to reduce heel, increase speed and reduce pitching motion.

The foiling superyacht’s accommodation units have been installed, providing space for up to eight guests across four cabins.

Farr Yacht Design worked in collaboration with Gurit to style the exterior and produce the naval architecture of the superyacht, while Lucio Micheletti is teaming up with Baltic Yachts to design her interior. Infiniti Yachts developed the foil in order to increase stability when travelling at higher speeds.

Twin generators and a lithium ion battery bank have also been fitted enabling the yacht to run for long periods of time in ‘quiet’ ship mode. Baltic 142 is estimated to reach a maximum speed of 25 knots in flat water, with 25 knots of wind.
