Italian shipyard Benetti launched its new 50-metre (164-foot), fully custom motor yacht, Blake, on Saturday 26th May in an event attended by 300 exclusive guests.
M/Y Blake is the 11th slipway launch to take place at the Viareggio shipyard since 1999.
She was designed and built for long cruises, where guests can enjoy their journey in comfort and silence.
London-based firm Bannenberg & Rowell Design was responsible for the design of her distinctive interior layout.
Blake features a large area for socialising on the sun deck as well as a lounge on the upper deck that can be transformed into a VIP cabin. The additional accommodation means a total of six rooms are available aboard Blake, including four cabins on the lower deck and a spacious owner’s apartment forward on the main deck.
Located on the aft swim platform is a beach club with a stern door that opens up to form a spacious terrace at water level. A stern garage that can house a 6.3-metre tender can also be found onboard, as well as two Jet Skis and a rescue boat compartment in the bow.
Power comes from two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines which each produce 1,193 kW, allowing a cruising speed of around 14 knots and a top speed of 15.5 knots.
