UK-based charity Blue Marine Foundation has completed its second training ride, in preparation for the annual charity bike ride from London to Monaco.
The ride, which took place on 31st August, saw 26 participants tackle 80km of the Surrey Hills, ahead of the yearly bike ride which is due to take place on 17th September.
The training ride was lead by the team at Just Pedal, sponsored by Climpson and Sons and fuelled by nutrition from Veloforte.
The event saw great commitment from everyone involved, particularly Michel Coens of Amels, who drove all the way from the Netherlands to take part in the ride.
This year’s London to Monaco ride will run over eight days in September (17th-24th), departing from Windsor Royal Park before heading south and crossing the Bay of Biscay, traveling through the Spanish Basque country and over the Pyrenees, down through Provence and into Monaco, where riders will be welcomed with a champagne sprayed reception and enjoy the official London to Monaco sponsored after party.
Famous singer, and advocate for ocean conservation, James Blunt will make an appearance at the beginning of the London to Monaco ride, showing his support for Blue Marine Foundation.
There are still a few spaces left on the ride, sign up via Just Pedal. For more information, visit London to Monaco.
