In the run up to the fourth edition of Blue Marine Foundation’s (BLUE) annual charity cycle ride from London to Monaco, training rides are being held to prepare participants.
The first training ride took place around the Isle of Wight on 22nd June, with the second training ride due to take place on Saturday 20th July.
Supported by Wightlink and nutritional sponsor Veloforte, BLUE saw 12 riders take part in the first 101km training ride and hope that more than 20 will opt to join the second training ride across the Surrey Hills, England.
Training rides are open to non-London to Monaco participants for £40, £20 of which is a donation to BLUE. For more information, or to sign up, visit Just Pedal.
This year’s London to Monaco ride will run over eight days in September (17th-24th), departing from Windsor Royal Park, before heading south, crossing the Bay of Biscay, traveling through the Spanish Basque country, over the Pyrenees, down through Provence and into Monaco, where riders will be welcomed with a champagne sprayed reception and enjoy the official London to Monaco sponsored after party.
Founded in 2016, with long-standing partner Winch Design, London to Monaco was launched in a bid to help raise awareness and funds to support BLUE’s global conservation efforts. In three years it has raised over £1 million for ocean conservation projects around the world.
