Burger-built Sea Bound receives price drop

The classic 30m superyacht Sea Bound, jointly listed for sale by Ralph Raulin at Camper & Nicholsons and Andrew Cilla at Luke Brown Yachts, has had a $550,000 price reduction.

Sea Bound was built with an aluminium hull and superstructure by US yard Burger, to a design by Don O’Keeffe. Delivered in 1996 to experienced owners with worldwide cruising in mind, she is said to “exemplify the timeless, classic look and feel that Burger is known for.”

A full refit in 2014 saw a new interior upgrade, an update of the mechanical systems, and a “striking” repaint. One of the notable improvements was the installation of a new electronics and navigation mast.

She has accommodation for six guests across a full-beam master suite, a VIP stateroom and a twin cabin. All staterooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Sea Bound features an open-plan interior by Barbara Wagner and Benson Design, with hideaway window shades, abundant storage and screens on all opening doors and ports. Butternut wood, hand-finished with raised panels, is used for bulkheads and furniture to create a “warm, rich interior”.

She is propelled by twin 1,250hp Caterpillar engines, giving her a cruising speed of 17 knots and a range of 3,000 nautical miles. At top speed, she is able to achieve 19 knots. 

Sea Bound is now for sale at an asking price of $3,490,000.
