Burgess reveals new look superyacht Turquoise for summer 2014 charter season

An exciting addition to the Burgess charter fleet for summer 2014, the 55.4m (181.9ft) superyacht Turquoise was recently unveiled to display a dramatic new look following an extensive refit, incorporating a re-designed interior and sun deck by award-winning H2 Yacht Design.

Built by Proteksan Turquoise in 2011, the vessel has been radically reconceived to offer an environment of contemporary sophistication with unmistakable but understated touches of glamour throughout.

Whether cruising casually with family and friends or hosting formal gatherings on board, Turquoise has already proven to be a much favoured choice with experienced charterers. The main reception areas carry a relaxing colour palette of silver, cream, white, grey and subtle turquoise tones which blend seamlessly with a myriad of unexpected textures and beautiful fabrics around the yacht, enhanced by accents of glossy Ebony Macassar wood.

The main saloon features velvet embossed sofas, dark maple armchairs with textured white leather, Ralph Lauren floor lamps and lacquer coffee tables in shagreen and stingray-effect leather. Silk curtains and roman blinds, Calvin Klein scatter cushions and customised hand tufted wool carpets complete the theme of stylish modern elegance. Open plan with the formal dining room for up to 14 guests and housing a full-size cocktail bar, Turquoise’s main saloon leads out to a new outdoor cinema on the aft deck where modular furniture can be co-ordinated into an expansive seating plan to suit any occasion. The sky lounge above brings in plenty of natural light and houses a grand piano and a large plasma screen with comfortable seating. Doors slide open onto the expansive shaded aft deck dining area which also features banquette seating around the stern.

The six newly appointed guest cabins on Turquoise are designed around a soothing decorative theme with the perfect dose of panache, resulting in luxurious accommodation for 12. Approached via a private study forward on the main deck, the master suite has been reconfigured to maximise space and features Shoji screens, leather wall panels and a glorious full-width white marble bathroom, complete with a tub and a large rain shower.

The remodelled sun deck now provides plenty of shaded al fresco dining, a large plasma screen, a full-size bar and a barbecue to complement the Jacuzzi and expansive cushioned sun pad area.

Turquoise is equipped with the latest audio visual systems throughout and carries a wide inventory of water toys, including two high speed waverunners, Seabobs, waterskis, sea kayaks, protected sea pool with trampoline and waterslide, paddle boards, snorkelling gear and more.

British captain Ben Craig-Cameron has an impressive 20 years of professional yachting experience in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, and leads a carefully hand-picked crew of 12.

Following the 2014 Mediterranean season, Turquoise will be available for charter over winter 2014/2015 in the Caribbean.
