Camper & Nicholsons’ Port Louis Marina expansion well underway

Camper & Nicholsons Marinas is halfway through a new berth expansion at Port Louis Marina, Grenada.

The country has seen a year-on-year increase in yachts visiting the ‘Island of Spice’ leading to the decision to expand.

Ninety new berths have been designed, ranging from 12 to 22 metres (39 to 72 feet), on two new piers as part of the exciting expansion development, enabling a greater number of large yacht visitors—and long-lease berthing options—in the marina.

The additional berths will help support the required space for many international events hosted at the marina, including the RORC Transatlantic Race, World Arc and Oyster World Rally.

Glyn Thomas, general manager at Port Louis Marina, commented, “We have been working very hard with exceptional contractors to ensure the new pontoon layout will help expand the marina for the future.

“The new pontoon layout will enable us to accommodate more of the catamarans and give us greater flexibility for small to mid-sized boats all year round.  A greater number of boats will also result in additional income for the Grenadian economy.”
