Canados Oceanic 140 superyacht back underway for 2020 completion

Italian yard Canados has revealed its 43-metre (141-foot) Oceanic 140 expedition-style superyacht, the first unveiling since construction began in 2014.

Further development on Oceanic 140 was put on hold following the company’s takeover by current owner Michel Karsenti, who is also behind the Oceanic line of motor yachts.

The project is now in the advanced stages of construction with the hull and first level of the Kevlar/Aramat superstructure now complete. The next stage will involve fitting bulkheads and flooring, with the final parts of the superstructure estimated to be placed by March 2020.

The project is being completed on speculation and therefore no propulsion package has been installed yet.  Potential clients will have the option of either a performance or long-range power plant, boasting top speeds ranging from 18 to 26 knots.

Canados’ 120 model Ceaser is also underway at the Rome-based shipyard, with delivery planned for 2020.
