Italian yard Cantieri Navali Chioggia has showcased a new 45.7-metre (150-foot) custom model named Ocean Queen 150.
Built from steel and aluminium, the new superyacht will be focused on “pleasure rather than explorer capability” with significant deck spaces and a large saloon offering both dining and lounge areas.
The beach club also serves as a tender garage and will be spacious enough to store a seven-metre tender and up to three Jet Skis.
Accommodation will be for a total of 12 guests across six cabins, while the crew quarters will host up to nine staff and include a separate captain’s cabin on the wheelhouse deck. The full-beam master suite is situated on the main deck and comes equipped with an adjoining office and his and hers bathrooms.
The interior is the result of a collaboration with Venetian design studio Watermark Design – the result will be “Italian-themed”, boasting dark wood, leather panelling and light flooring and ceilings.
Power comes from a pair of Caterpillar 1650hp engines for a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 13 knots.
In a release, Alberto Ballarin of Ocean King said, “The Ocean Queen 150 has been developed with customer input and makes for a superbly spacious and luxurious family yacht that can cruise comfortably, offer all the very latest superyachting amenities and will really stand out in marinas from Portofino to St Tropez.”
The development comes following Cantieri Navali Chioggia revealed a new Ocean King model in its Classic series of explorer yachts last year.
