Carbon Marine to launch carbon fibre hulled tender

Tender boat builder Carbon Marine will launch the world’s first 100% exposed carbon fibre hulled boat at next week’s Miami International Boat Show, which runs from 11^th to 15^th February.

The Paragon Super Sport 28 is 8.5m long and offers a range of over 300 miles, with a supercharged V8 engine which enables the boat to reach a top speed of over 65 knots. Its new hull design is also said to be lighter, faster and stronger than the traditional fibreglass hull, and its draft is only 0.6m which means it is able to access many shallow bays.

On its website, Carbon Marine states, “Matching the aesthetics of the world’s finest super cars, these hulls will be the only of their kind on the ocean. The materials lead to an offshore hull with significant performance enhancements in speed, rough water handling, and a dramatic reduction in fuel consumption."

Carbon Marine is based in Canada, building custom tenders for superyachts. It will be offering test-drives of the Paragon Super Sport 28 during the Miami International Boat Show. The starting price of the tender will be $294,000.
