Codecasa launches 43m Vintage Series hull C122

Italian yard Codecasa has announced the launch of its latest Codecasa 43 FB – the 43-metre (141-foot) C122.

The technical launch took place successfully on Saturday 16^th February in a private ceremony attended by workers and their families. Codecasa said the yacht “slipped into the water perfectly”, much to the satisfaction of everyone in attendance.

Part of its Vintage Series, the yacht boasts a classic external line and tasteful interiors to ensure a totally unique style. Owned by a leasing company, it is hoped that C122 will be on display at the Versilia Yachting Rendez-Vous in May once the yard has completed construction and all technical tests.

Power on board comes from two Caterpillar 3512C engines for a maximum speed of 16.5 knots and a range of 4,000 miles at 11 knots.

Discussing the yard’s Vintage Series recently, Codecasa CEO Fulvia Codecasa noted, “We’ve always had great faith in the Vintage project – well-placed, as it turns out, given that every unit produced before the C122 was built without an advance order and fully financed by the shipyard itself, as was the case with the C122.

“The ingredients we believe contributed to its success are its classic, sober, evergreen style incorporating features from traditional sailing, putting a modern twist on them.”
