Codecasa Shipyards has released new photos of the on-going construction of its 65-metre (213-foot) project at its facility in Pisa. First ordered in 2008 by fashion designer Giorgio Armarni, Hull 74 features the highlights and distinctive features of the three previous hulls in the iconic range.
Construction started on Hull 74 in April 2017, after her new owner signed for the project. Her steel hull is already complete, while hot works are currently underway on her superstructure. Codecasa engineers and the owner’s designers have also reportedly joined the project at this stage, to ensure that the yacht can be delivered in the European summer of 2019.
Domenico Gozzani, exterior stylist at Codecasa Shipyards explained, “The new Codecasa 65 is a sober and elegant yacht that soon conveys a feeling of solidity without appearing too rigorous. Its intentionally ‘masculine’ profile, balanced between classic and trendy lines, captivating thanks to a natural and thoughtful synthesis of the Codecasa nautical tradition with the classic lines of the evolution, achieving the new classic style by subtraction.”
In comparison to the first 65m flagship, Hull 74 has been updated to modern requirements, with enlarged windows and portholes. Glazing on the upper deck covers the entire surface, from floor to ceiling.
According to Codecasa, she features “big interior volumes and extremely clean and precise exterior lines.” Split over four decks, her main deck is devoted entirely to the reception and hospitality of guests, with a large main salon and adjacent dining room.
On the lower deck she accommodates guests in four large cabins, while the upper deck is dedicated to the owner, with a large second salon and owner’s suite with direct access to a large private external living area forward. There is also a contiguous VIP cabin on this deck. The bridge deck and its wheelhouse have large spaces left for amenities, to be chosen by the owner.
Other projects at Codecasa include Hull C122 of the Vintage Series, unveiled in 2011.
