Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
After the Cogs4Cancer team completed their charity cycle ride from Antibes to Palma, it was announced that they smashed their 100,000 Euros target, to achieve a total of 111,556 Euros. On 5th October, the team rode roughly 800km from Antibes to Palma to raise money for Cancer Research.
A huge helping hand towards the total came from the sponsors of each bike, with five thousand Euros donated per bike. Lee Mutch of Inter-Nett, had his bike very generously sponsored by Pete Williams of Freedom Maritime. LNC Engineering Monaco sponsored Robbie Maguire's bike, while HSH Prince Albert of Monaco sponsored Adrian Long's bike. Sunseeker Superyacht Management was the sponsor for Ben Young's bike, and Yachting Pages sponsored Steve Crowe's bike.
The sponsor’s donations, along with hundreds of other generous donations, led to the ride making over 111,000 Euros for Cancer Research.
The team arrived to a fantastic reception at the Pinmar Golf Course in Palma de Mallorca on Friday 11th October.
Steve Crowe, managing director of Yachting Pages published a blog for the cycle ride, which is filled with photos, updates, interviews and more. Read the blog here.
