Charity Cogs4Cancer (C4C) has announced the itinerary for its 2019 superyacht charity cycle ride – its toughest challenge to date covering eight countries in eight days.
This year’s ride will depart from Maastricht in the Netherlands on Friday 4th October, before making its way south through Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Monaco and finishing on the IYCA quay in Antibes, France on Saturday 12th October.
In eight days, the ride will cover a staggering 1,250km and consist of 17,820 metres of climbing, which averages out as over 2,000 metres of climbing per day.
Recognised as a group of yachting industry professionals dedicated to raising money for cancer charities in the UK and France, Cogs4Cancer was awarded the ‘Flame of Hope’ by Cancer Research UK, as one of its ‘Fundraisers of the Year’ in 2018.
In the last four years, Cogs4Cancer has raised €1,000,000 (£891,100) for its chosen charities in the fight against cancer.
