Cogs4Cancer’s annual cycle challenge is well underway

Once again, players within the yachting industry have joined together in a bid to raise awareness of cancer with the annual Cogs4Cancer cycle challenge already well underway in France.

The event will see 24 riders travel 850km, over five days, from Barcelona to Antibes, with the aim to raise as much money as possible to aid in the fight against cancer. The organisation has already raised over 600,000 euros since its inception in 2013.

Cogs4Cancer presents an ideal platform for players within the yachting industry to join forces to support the same cause. Backing the event are large yachting businesses, such as Burgess, Fraser yachts, Edmiston, Y.CO, Monaco Marine, Compositeworks and Yachting pages Media Group.

Day one of the ride saw the riders accomplish their first 160 km ride from Barcelona to Figures in Spain. Day two was a long and exhausting day with rides clocking 172 km on the ride from Figures to Narbonne.

The four charities to benefit from the event are: Cancer Research UK, L’Archet Hospital in Nice, Cancer Support Group 06 and Clinique Tzanck Wellbeing.

If you would like to get involved you can donate, or join the tribute ride that is taking place on Friday 9th October. Cogs4Cancer encourages everyone to join in the activities for the fight against cancer.
