Cyclists finalised for Cogs4Cancer charity ride

The second superyacht charity cycle ride Cogs4Cancer is looming ever closer with just over three months left.

The cycle ride, which took place from Antibes to Palma de Mallorca last year, will this year start from Ancona in Italy and end in Antibes, France. The ride will cover over 850km in just six days from the 4th – 10th October, and will again aim to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK and a local cancer charity.

The number of riders has now been finalised at 17, with the late inclusion of one of last year’s original riders, Wayne Jones.

The total amount raised for Cancer Research UK last year was €114,000, well above thetarget of 100,000 euros. Cogs4cancer is ranked within the top one percent of all fundraisers on the Just Giving charity fundraising website. Cancer Research UK commented “The amount raised in such a short time was unprecedented.”
