Expedition yacht specialist Damen has revealed further details of its new SeaXplorer 75 design ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show. The 77-metre (253-foot) superyacht boasts fully customisable engineering and design as well as a plethora of luxury features.
The first two SeaXplorer projects – 65 and 77 – have been sold and are now being constructed ahead of a 2020 delivery. The 75’s keel was laid in July.
Rose Damen, managing director of Damen, said, “The SeaXplorer 75 is a yacht for all seasons for clients who want to make more use of their time to explore the world. The combination of our Amels luxury yachting knowhow with our Damen Shipyards Group experience delivering commercial vessels is really unique – and you can see that in the design. The SeaXplorer 75 offers serious global capability but with true superyacht refinement at home in any marina. We’ve also designed her to be customised to our client’s bespoke requirements.”
The six-deck explorer vessel combines luxury accommodation with all-weather functionality. As well as accommodation for 12 guests, including an owner’s apartment and two VIP suites, there is a bow-point observation lounge and outdoor deck. Exterior styling, courtesy of Azure Yacht Design, includes a helipad with space for two helicopters, a below-deck hangar, dive centre and tender garages fore and aft.
The SeaXplorer line of yachts additionally benefits from a large capacity for provisions and fuel, spacious waste water holding tanks and garbage management for up to 40 days without a port call. The Ice Class and IMO Polar Code-compliant design is available in five designs stretching up to 100 metres.
