Damen launches 55m yacht support vessel New Frontiers

Damen has announced the launch of its 55.3m Yacht Support vessel New Frontiers – the latest in the range, following the launch of 69.15m Game Changer earlier this year.

Created to offer luxurious living for expeditions away from her mothership, New Frontiers has a large lounge and dining area, as well as a 50sqm sundeck, helipad, and an adventure centre aft featuring large stores, a dive centre, and A-frame installation to launch and retrieve submersibles. 

She is able to accommodate up to six guests across three cabins, including a main-deck owner’s suite.

It’s still a yacht support vessel, but you can’t put this vessel into one category or another – and that reflects exactly the wishes of our clients. They want their holiday to be about freedom and spontaneity – New Frontiers makes that possible.

New Frontiers has a top speed of 20 knots, giving a range of 5,000nm. She is due for completion in September 2017 and will make her debut at the Monaco Yacht Show.
