Details of Fincantieri’s new 110m Ganimede concept emerge

The Italian duo Fincantieri Yachts and Hot Lab have joined forces on a new 110m superyacht concept called Ganimede. Revealed at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, she takes her name from the Greek myth figure, Ganymedes.

The concept takes on the shape of the creature with a beak-like bow design, created to cut through the roughest of seas. The flush foredeck supports a helicopter landing pad that opens to reveal a hangar within.

The outdoor guest areas are decorated in an art-deco style with a flush swimming pool acting as the centrepiece of the 20-metre-long beach club. This area is connected to the main deck via a semi-spiral staircase, where there are several different sized social areas for guests to hang out in, while the sloping bulwarks create the perfect environment to enjoy the views while relaxing behind the central bar area.

The upper deck forward will be dedicated entirely to the owner’s apartment comprising of an impressive owner’s lounge that connects through to a forward-facing cabin, flanked by full-height windows on either side leading out to the side decks.
