In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
UK-based yacht designer Dixon Yacht Design has presented its latest sailing yacht concept, the 70-metre (230-foot) Project NewDawn.
Built from a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, and featuring a Falcon Rig to ‘maximise performance and minimise effort’, the concept has been labelled as ‘game changing’.
Dixon Yacht Design was responsible for the interior and exterior styling of the sailing yacht concept, which 'shares many characteristics with motor yachts', such as a sizable glazed deck saloon on the main deck which faces aft to the pool.
Project NewDawn will also feature a gym and wellness area, as well as a cinema on the lower deck, and a dining and lounging space situated on the upper deck.
The sailing yacht will be able to accommodate up to 10 guests across four guest cabins and one full beam owner’s suite, which comprises its own private balconies. Project NewDawn will also have space for eight crew members.
The tender platform, which is directly accessible from the main deck lobby, provides guests with the option to travel in either a seven-metre sports tender or a seven-metre limousine tender.
The sailing yacht’s key technical systems include a hybrid propulsion system which optimises energy on board, as well as an energy recovery system which utilises the propulsion propellers to generate electricity whilst the yacht is in sail.
