Eastern Caribbean island Anguilla’s first superyacht marina complex announced

As part of the expansion of Altamer Resort, a superyacht marina complex is due to be built in Eastern Caribbean island Anguilla. Currently in its final design stages, the marina is being undertaken by TEI in cooperation with Anaconda Ltd. /Marine Management and Consulting, and Cross Island Development.

The marina will be the first of its kind in Anguilla and will also serve as an official port of entry to the island. 30% of its berths will accept yachts between 30 and 200 feet and in addition to a 164-unit resort; there will also be a variety of duty-free shops and a restaurant promenade.

Francis Greenburger, chairman and CEO of TEI, was excited about the prospect of building on Altamer Resort’s reputation and commented, “Altamer Marina will rival some of the most renowned facilities in the region and will not only position Anguilla as a choice destination among the luxury yachting community, but will meet the rising yachting, shopping and dining demands of high-net worth individuals”.

Anguilla’s chief minister, Victor F. Banks added, “We welcome this marina development project as an important enhancement of Anguilla’s tourism product. It is just what the doctor ordered”.
