Yachting Pages has put several of the leading safety cases (and other associated products) to the test. The objective: to ascertain how each product performs and determine which one is best equipped to safely contain a lithium battery-induced fire.
Sealive by Electric Plus was born out of an idea by three young engineers. Their objective was to revolutionise the way the sea is experienced, to give everyone the possibility to admire the oceans seabeds and to introduce a new product on the market.
Sealive is an electric propelled catamaran which is very agile and safe. The vessel is equipped with a movable panoramic cabin that rises and falls by a system of transferring liquids. From the inside of the cabin you can navigate and explore the seabed and surrounding areas.
During the design process, particular attention was given to the environment, as the specific characteristics of the catamaran gives it unrestricted access to any area of marine-protected areas. Propulsion is guaranteed by two electrical pods powered by lithium rechargeable batteries, duration of which is up to six hours.
The pods are made of fiberglass and the metal accessories made from stainless steel. The platform is designed with excellent taste and to the highest standards. You can sunbathe thanks to two comfortable chaises longue and you can also enjoy fabulous views from inside the cabin as it has maximum visibility with three large plexi-glass windows.
The vessel has been designed with the following criteria:
Electric Plus will be at Cannes Yachting Festival from 9th to 14th September 2014 and for the first time will show Sealive. Visit the team at stand Quai Max Laubeuf 149 (QML149).
