In the realm of maritime luxury, the quest to offer yacht charter guests the perfect night's sleep has become an art form, one which luxury bed and linen supplier, CC Design, has fully committed to.
EMC recently announced it completed its acquisition of MTN (Maritime Telecommunications Network). The combined global company has retained the name “EMC” and is now headquartered at MTN’s offices in Miramar, Florida.
The acquisition creates a company with a combined experience of 35 years in delivering connectivity and content to organisations and people on the move in remote locations.
Abel Avellan, founder and CEO of EMC commented, “Customers can clearly distinguish EMC from other providers in three ways – our truly global services for mobility and fixed applications, our differentiated products and technologies, and our unique worldwide customer support. Our unmatched global mobility platform operates off the most extensive, advanced network serving the specific needs of our diverse customer set.
“Our ability to deliver customers the most efficient services comes from our unprecedented engineering innovations. We are excited to add the cruise, ferry and yacht markets to our targeted sectors, and will be merging our government, oil and gas, and commercial shipping business units to continue to deliver our recognized reliable service and support.”
The new entity provides remote connectivity to approximately 8,000 on-land sites and 1,600 vessels. EMC also claimed the acquisition further accelerates the organisation’s scale and purchasing power as the largest consumer of satellite capacity outside the US and Europe.
