Fincantieri delivers 140m M/Y Ocean Victory superyacht

At 140m LOA, the new Fincantieri superyacht, Ocean Victory, is the largest yacht ever to be built in Italy, and according to sector rankings is one of the ten largest superyachts ever built in the world.

This new superyacht is positioned in the top market segment of the industry in terms of quality and performance, and is characterised by state-of-the-art technology, complexity, innovation and extreme attention to interior and exterior design detail.

The new seven deck design was commissioned by Fincantieri Yachts with the exterior the brainchild of Monaco-based naval designer, Espen Oeino, and the interior, a creation of Paris-based interior designer, Cabinet Alberto Pinto.

The luxury superyacht has the highest functional design with a certified helideck with lifting platform and internal heli hanger, floodable tender dock, ten large shell doors, one underwater observation room, six swimming pools and an on-board SPA area of over 300m2. The yacht is also equipped with the latest lighting and audio-visal home entertainment systems.

Giuseppe Bono, CEO of Fincantieri Yachts said, “A 140m ship is always something special. But in the megayacht market, which represents in the shipbuilding industry a luxury, innovation and cutting edge niche by definition, having success does not only depend on the numbers and size.

“With Ocean Victory, in fact, we had to put ourselves to the test every day from all points of view. Given this really exciting result, I can proudly say that we have been able to meet the challenge in an excellent manner: a ship that is going to testify Italy’s highest expression of technology and fascination worldwide will cast off Fincantieri’s docks.”

Ocean Victory has been built to meet internationally recognised SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) regulations making her one of the world’s most advanced ships in terms of on board safety.

Ocean Victory was delivered to the Muggiano Fincantieri shipyard on Friday 5th December.
